About Us
In 2009, Spanish designer Alex Al-Bader began creating sell-out collections of one-off pieces in London.
With a background in Economics, studies in pattern cutting & stitching at London College of Fashion, and a former modelling career, the Soler brand — a ray of sunshine — was born.
Inspired by vintage silhouettes, bespoke alterations & vibrantly coloured limited-run fabrics, clients quickly discovered and wore our pieces, drawing the attention of like-minded creatives, professional women and celebrities.
In collaboration with Spanish artist Monica Subide, the sister duo united their creativity, painting carefully chosen fabrics. What began as wearable art evolved into Soler’s signature prints — Subide’s dynamic paintings paired with Al-Bader’s fun, feminine style.
Soler grew to produce four annual collections for the global wholesale market alongside our bright Notting Hill boutique — our Atelier — an oasis of technicolour fabrics and often one-of-a-kind women’s clothing, created with simple cuts, bold colours and luxurious all-natural fabrics.
Custom pieces can be made to measure by our in-house seamstresses, offering a treasure-trove discovery and original destination for dressing.
Our ethos remains: small runs of distinctive yet timeless pieces, designed to be cherished and worn again and again.
